if you follow this road you come to the Oude Kijk in 't Jatstraat. To the left is the Vissersstraat (the red light district) and to the right is the Hoge der A (roadsign is on the building on the right)
 

I think you mean straight ahead is trhe Vissersstraat, because the Hoge der A runs off the Vissersstraat at 90 deg, not in line. Actually the photo is taken at the junction of the Vissersraat and the Verlengde Vissersstraat. (Or going west where the Ackerhof becomes the Astraat.)
