Miscellaneous 4
A barbeque sometime around 1970. Not sure where it is; perhaps Albany. In the picture around the bbq are Oom Jan, Henk, Ron, Ed and Rob. In the background is John.
Ron in 1965, with the famous peg. Part of a promotion for the opening of Malvern Star in Albany; people had to guess the height and weight of the peg. Ron should have been holding a normal sized peg.

Backyard pool 1970
Dad must have climbed up on the roof for these pictures. It seems the pool was pretty new at the time. Not sure how we managed to dive into such a shallow pool. You can also see the sandpit, swing, wheelbarrow, and cubby that Dad built. To the right of the cubby is the vegie garden. Only strawberries I think, which I got from Mrs Gilpin. I had to big out ots of gravel rocks in order to have some soil for them to grow in. The pile of rocks is up against the back fence.
John Spanderman family, and also Joh. Dekker family I think, lived in the house to the right behind us.

Miscellaneous 3
Ron, Rick, Ed and Martin with a kangaroo.
Traveling August 1977. Must have been on the way back from Albany - I see a few new "Albany 150 Years" t-shirts. Chris and Rick on the roof rack, Ed and Janet standing on the trailer, and Martin sitting at their feet.
It must have been the trip that we hit the kangaroo. I remember that at the time there was a dent on the back bumper. The window that was broken appears to have been fixed.
Either Ron or I took the picture.

Wanneroo Lion Park
Sinterklaas circa 1972
Ron and I dressed up as Zwarte Piet and Sinterklaas. Martin looks unimpressed.
Inspecting the presents.
Soccer carival
Some (pretty poor) pics from a soccer carnival, when the kids were asked to dress up themselves and/or their bikes.

Miscellaneous 2
A BBQ in Albany to celebrate a wedding anniversary for Mrs and Mrs Joop and Riet Dekker. Dad, Uncle Len, Joop Dekker (and one of his kids in the background).
The shop is the centre is the camera/photography shop of the late Mr John Brouwer.
Funeral of Opa Eikelboom
Opa Eikelboom died in 1975. I remember being told of his death late in the evening whilst I was in bed in the caravan in Brian Street, Armadale. Oom Jan came by to tell Dad and Mum, but they must have been away. It was some time before June, because we moved to Fifth Road around then - the house in Brian Street was too small.
Opa was buried in Selwerderhof, just north of the Groningen ring road (see map below).
I recognise Oom Jan Sikkens (centre) with Oom Jan Medema in front of him, and Oma just to his right with the blue bag. Tante Hilly is to the right. It's possible that Oom Elco and his daughter Karin (with the glasses) is just to the right of the minister.

Whaling Station - Albany
Dad and I visited the whaling station in Albany early one morning. Not sure what year it was. It could be me with the shorts and hat, but I doubt I would have walked around in bare feet, and I was not so tall then.

Miscellaneous
Dad was the treasurer for the school and also did the books for Mr H Dekker's store. Here he is sitting at the dining room table in Albany. Late 60's I think.
Tante Corrie holding Janet in 1968 - outside the main bedroom at the house on Broughton Street in Albany.
Visit to Perth
This must have been in 1973 when we went on a holiday from Albany to Perth. I do not remember it at all, except some other photos will show we went to the Lion Park - and I remember that. The blue Kingswood was a 1973 model, so it was at least 1974. I do not know whose caravan it was, nor where we parked it.
